100% Student Run and Operated

Ready to go at a moment's notice

Training for the worst, so you get the best

100% Volunteer

Temple University Emergency Medical Services (TUEMS) is a completely student run, volunteer Basic Life Support (BLS) organization. Our providers are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and strive to provide the best care possible. Our EMS teams respond on bicycles to medical emergencies on Temple University's Main Campus, as well as the surrounding outskirts of campus. TUEMS acts as a Quick Response System (QRS) and relies on the Philadelphia Fire Department to transport the patient to local hospital emergency departments. Stay safe out there, we’ll always be there to soar to your aid!

In the Event of an Emergency, Remain Calm.

For on-campus emergencies, please call Temple Police: (215) 204-1234 or 911 for any off-campus emergencies. When calling for emergency assistance, be prepared to provide a few important pieces of information to the emergency dispatcher:

  •  The address of the emergency

  •  Exactly what happened

  •  How many people are hurt

Follow all of the dispatcher's instructions, and do not hang up until you have been told to do so. Be prepared to answer many questions. The dispatchers are there to help you and will be able to assist you over the phone with medical emergencies.
